Hurriyat (G) Wednesday condemned NIA raids which the conglomerate said have been carried out in every nook and corner of State “to implicate respectable citizens in baseless and fabricated cases”.
Statement said its main objective is to harass people in the State.
“They are trying to frame false cases against resistance camp and putting pressure on us to weaken the resistance movement,” Hurriyat (G) spokesman said and added the coercive measures adopted by NIA are more dangerous than ASPA.
Spokesman while referring to continuous detention of Shabir Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Peer Saif Ullah, Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Mehraj u Din Kalwal, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Shahid ul Islam, Zahoor Ahmad Watali, Javed Ahmad Bhat, Kamran Yusuf and summoning of Ad Miyan Ab Qayoom, Dr Nayem Geelani and Dr Naseem Geelani, said: “It is a well thought out plan to scare people and its implications and consequences are more dangerous than AFSPA.”
All these arbitrary measures against leadership and youth, instead of suppressing their sentiments have infused and rejuvenated the spirits, spokesman said.
Condemning the restriction and house detention of conglomerate’s general secretary, Gh Nabi Sumji, spokesman said: “Puppet regime is choking political space, strangulating genuine voices of people and putting unlawful restriction and curbs on all peaceful political activities.”
Supporting the genuine demands of business and transport community of Batmaloo General Bus Stand, spokesman said under well thought out “conspiracy”, business and transport community is unnecessarily being harassed and targeted.
